Things Rich People Do... That Poor People Don't

There are lots of steps you can take towards improving your lifestyle.  Findings from numerous research and articles all point to the same core list of things that Rich People Do...That Poor People Don't.

Dave Ramsey, finance guru, interviewed Tom Corley who presented his findings on healthy habits of the wealthy.  Here they are:


  1. eat healthy foods and avoid the junk food
  2. exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle
  3. continue to educate yourself throughout your life, and improve your skills
  4. less TV time (only around 1 hour a day!); more reading, networking, and learning
  5. write down a to-do list and work towards completing it
  6. no gambling - they realize this is a daily waste of money on an unsure thing
  7. give up the immediate gratification for better quality or better satisfaction down the road
  8. make happy birthday calls to people who matter.  Why?  Because it shows you care, it shows you can communicate, connect, and hold relationships (important in business)
  9. volunteer and give back to others.
  10. budget. budget. budget.
